People Groups continued

Here are a few more images from my "People Group" project ....all in London, with the common links of clothing types (usually with colour) and a shared activity connecting the people.

Winter Visit to Paris

You can find people and places to photograph outdoors in winter, when the days are short, available light doesn't last long and even when there is a light drizzle, as in this set of images from a visit to Paris late last year.

 

Those of you who know Paris, may possibly recognise La Défense in the last four images; the first - the odd one out location wise - is at the Centre Pompidou. The blue post-production processing 
matched the rather gloomy day ...

Red and White

A third image for my "people group" series .... these people were on a giant chess board in Trafalgar Square. I like the mostly red, black and white.

Torch Relay in London

Towards the end of July last - July 26th -  the Olympic Torch Relay passed through London's Trafalgar Square. It's now quite a couple of months since then, but it seems all so long ago now.

People Groups

A change in blog template and style - don't know if I like it yet - and I'll have to fine tune things over the next day or so ... so please bear with me whilst I do this.

Interviews

The recently ended Olympic Games here in London provided many opportunities for interviews in the street.

Patterns on the Street

Sometimes road users,  the road signs and colours on the road surface combine to make patterns ....

Cable Car in London

   The new Cable Car service over the Thames, in east London opened last week, and at the weekend I had my first - hopefully of many - trips on it. The service straddles the Thames from the North Greenwich Arena on the south of the river to the Royal Docks on the north ,,, which was my direction of travel.

   Had some stunning view over east London, including the Thames Barrier, and the many sites for the upcoming Olympic Games, due in a couple of weeks. My only complaint was that the trip was over all too quickly - about 5 minutes.   Had to queue for about half an hour - and looking at the queue in the 4th image (from the top), it had lengthened after me ... is the service becoming a tourist attraction already ?  Next time I'll try going from north to south.

Early Summer and with the fresh vegetation, so it is time for a little Infrared Photography, in nearby Richmond Park.
